No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.

Inner City School Ministry

In the Fall of 2005 Bethlehem Church adopted an inner city school, Howard Roosa School, which is five miles from the church.  The school's population is 90 percent free and reduced lunch and has a diverse population of 50 percent white and 50 percent black and multi-racial.  Over the past three years Bethlehem Church has over 20 different members provide weekly tutoring to the students and also over a dozen church members give children rides to the clothing bank on a weekly basis.  Last year, 75 children were brought to the clothing bank to get new/used clothing.  In 2007 Leadership Evansville awarded Bethlehem Church an Organizational Leadership Award, in the education category, for our ministry to the school.  Drivers and tutors range from age 15 to 90.  God has truly blessed this very special ministry.
